Description

Canam-Structures fabricated and erected the steel structure for Citi Field, a 41,920-seat stadium that is the new home of the NY Mets.

The impressive scoreboard designed and fabricated by Canam-Structures stands 185 feet (56.4 m) high by 127 feet (38.7 m) wide and weighs 300 tons.

Features

The Jackie Robinson Rotunda, a 160-foot wide by 65-foot high entrance hall, is a central feature of Citi Field. Canam-Structures fabricated the rotunda’s two structural and architectural main trusses, which are 165 feet (50 m) long and 22 feet (6.7 m) deep.

The two trusses fabricated and erected by Canam-Structures form a cross in the center of the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.

Another architecturally exposed structural element of the Jackie Robinson Rotunda is the bottom chord, which consists of a 4.5-inch (11.4 cm) galvanized steel cable.
