The 1,175-room Marriott Marquis located in Washington D.C. is designed to complement the adjacent Walter E. Washington Convention Center. There is direct access to the Convention Center via an underground concourse connection.
The Washington, D.C. Marriott Marquis is a highly technical project that was built using a top-down approach. According to this method, the construction of the lower floors, which featured a steel frame, began at ground level while the upper floors, made from concrete, were erected simultaneously.
